We're an independent car-care resource run by working mechanics and motoring writers. We test the tools, do the repairs, and write the guide we wish we'd had - never sponsored.
Independent · affiliate-funded, never sponsored
JimDrive started with a simple frustration: most car advice online is written by people who've never turned a wrench, and most reviews are ranked by whoever paid the most. We wanted the opposite - guidance from technicians who actually fix cars, and reviews from writers who actually drive them.
Every repair guide is written or fact-checked by an ASE-certified technician. Every product we recommend has been used in a real garage or on a real road before it earns a place in a roundup. When something isn't worth your money, we say so.
We use the tools and do the repairs ourselves before we write a word about them.
What we stand forWe're affiliate-funded but never sponsored. No brand pays for a ranking, ever.

Every recommendation passes the same four checks before it reaches you.
The tool, part, or product goes into a real repair or a real test drive - not a spec sheet.
We track what worked, what failed, and what we'd change, against the alternatives.
We name the one we'd buy, not a five-product tie. If nothing's worth it, we say so.
Guides are revisited as models, parts, and prices change, and outdated picks are retired.
Our full methodology, independence policy, and corrections process - in plain English.
